Zubin Karimattam

Coach Z is an Air Force veteran with over 30 years of wrestling experience. A former Rutgers University wrestler, he has coached athletes across the country at multiple levels. Known for his intensity and passion, Coach Z is dedicated to teaching the sport of wrestling while helping kids grow into confident, disciplined young adults.

Horace Kates

Coach Horace has been the Grafton High School head coach since 2014. A local native, he has been involved with peninsula area wrestling for over 20 years. Coach Horace is excited to help continue the growth of wrestling in the area while instilling the same values instilled in him through the sport of wrestling into the youth of Infinity.

Steve Crowe

Coach Steve has been a volunteer assistant at Grafton High School since 2023. Over the past 20 years he has coached at club and high school programs in Virginia, Maryland, and Guatemala. As a competitor, he was a four-year starter at Division II program Gannon University. Coach Steve is a passionate student of the sport and is always searching for the most effective practices in technique, strength and conditioning, and mental training.

Curtis Thacker

Coach Curtis has been with the Grafton High School wrestling program since 2021. He brings over 30 years of experience with various wrestling clubs. A local native of the peninsula area, Coach Curtis is dedicated to building athletes' skills, discipline, and love for the sport of wrestling.
